Really, this month is already almost over??? Wow. We've been busy, as usual. Life absolutely speeds up times a billion when you have kids. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it does seem like the days shrink.
Here are a few highlights from our month:
Myra and Jeremy's Engagement Party. We are SO excited for this fabulous couple. Myra is one of my BFFPVs from college, and actually Ted was/is good friends with her too...So, ya, we are both very happy for dear 'ole M. :) She was in our wedding and I'm honored to be in hers, too.
Baby cousin Paxton came down for another visit. Isn't he a sweetie?
Truett continues to act like a little man. He currently loves to play basketball (and he's pretty darn good!), and he is really into pretend play. He will drive his little car around and pretend to go to all the place we go to - work, HEB, McNonald's, Burder Keen, etc. He LOVES to have his daddy give him a rocket ship/plan ride to bed every night, lol. He is being more interactive with Mila, too. It's so sweet...I know he can't wait for her to play.
Mila is just a sweet, sweet girl. She wakes up happy and is very content in the mornings. And somehow, once again, our awesome Ms.Kari has gotten her on a schedule where she takes her longer nap of the day right around the same time Truett does. It is WONDERFUL!!! I'm also in the middle of sleep training. It's going well so far...we are all getting more peaceful sleep. I think she has her daddy's round face shape, at least for now, and a few of my features. Honestly, it's still pretty hard for me to tell - but she is definitely looking like her own little person now instead of newborn-Truett-clone.
Mila and her playgroup buddies, the second generation.
And how could I forget? Ted and I finally got some adult time in. At the very last minute his BFF Matt called and invited us to the Rodeo...Brad Paisley (our wedding song was his "She's Everything"). We seriously had about an hour to get some babysitters (yay, grandparents!!!), get the kid's stuff ready for bed, get ourselves ready, and then meet Matt and Leslie for the drive to the Rodeo. I'm so glad we did...I laughed so much and we all had a great time (even if I had no voice and was up wayyyyy too late). Matt got one of those ridiclous over priced maragritas and I could.not.stop laughing at that.
And finally....Since he won't let me take many pictures anymore, here are some videos of Tru in action. I present to you, "Drummer Boy" and "Drive Thru":

Happy 4 Months, Mila!
Getting stronger!:
Love this little girl so much:
It's hard to believe our baby girl is already 4 months old today! Time is going by SO fast with her. Here are some bullet points about her at 4 months old (considering I've been awful about her baby book this is starting to serve as one)...
Weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces and is 24.5 inches long (she has gained over 7 pounds and has grown 5 inches since birth)!
Still nursing, and still waking to nurse at night. I have all intentions of sleep training her at 6 months just like we had to do with Truett.
She is our severe reflux baby. We had to go through Zantac, then Prevacid, and finally found Nexium works for her. She seems to be doing soooooooooooo much better, we are all so happy for her.
Her bedtime is around 6:30 pm, and naps are still sporadic. I try to get her down after about 1.5-2 hours of "wake time" during the day. It doesn't always work out that way since our days can be busy, but I try.
She loves kicking her legs in excitement and has recently started to grab, hold, reach for, and push her playmat toys. She also likes holding your fingers. *sigh* I just love that little tender moment with baby. So simple but so sweet when they hold on to you like that. (NOT so sweet or tender when it's your hair though!)
She also goes in her jumperoo and bumbo now, although she isn't "jumping" yet she likes the new view and the little dangly toys and lights.
She likes to "stand" on her feet and can bear her weight, she likes sitting up with help, and she is finally starting to tolerate tummy time - woohoo.
Coos, babbles and giggles.
Other Likes: She loves faces. Loves her brother, mommy, and daddy's voices. Loves to be talked to, loves people to sing to her, loves watching mommy and Truett have a dance party (she laughs AT us, and I don't blame her). She gets the hugest gummy grin on her face when she sees you - even if it IS 3o'clock in the morning. She is so cheerful in the morning. She loves to be carried facing "out" - I tote her around like this all day. I cook one handed, clean, vacuum, etc, all while she hangs out on one side watching everything.
Dislikes: Only a few I can think of right now...She isn't a fan of taking medicine. Well, she use to do just fine and then she discovered her tounge so now it gets pushed out. She doesn't like to get overtired (hence the "go down for a nap every 2 hour" rule). She doesn't like gas, it hurts. LOL.
We're having fun and looking forward to watching her grow a lot more in 2011. :)
