Mo and Tru

These two munchkins love each other, can ya tell?

And here is Tru hanging out in his "tent" over the weekend.

Taking a breather outside. I love this scrunchy-nosed serious look.

Chillin' in my chair.

Truett runs to the front door when he wants to go "OWWWW" aka outside. (which is very, VERY often)

Spider Boy.

"Wha???" Acting like Mr.Innocent when he clearly is not.

Ham-Bone

Truett has been quite the performer lately. A few funny things happened this weekend. At one point I had to run to the bathroom so I sat Truett in the closet for .003 seconds (right next to me). He usually occupies himself with hangers or something for a minute. This time, however, was just enough time for him to find a small baby powder container that was at his level and some how dump the entire contents on himself and the carpet in the .003 seconds I was gone. It was hilarious. There he sat, swinging it everywhere loving every seconds of it.

He also had his BFFs 1st birthday party. He had to be sure and assist Dalton whenever possible during the opening of the gifts and at one point I was pretty sure he wouldn't give back D's card. Those two are gunna be some trouble together...I can see it now.

Then, just last night we took him to his great-grandparents house. They just moved in so we had to be sure and break in their house. There is nothing like letting a toddler lose to truly break in your new home. Well, Tru put on quite the show. He loved all the low windows, the blinds, endless cabinets to open and close, a tiny dog to follow and kiss, lots of grandma love, etc, etc. The funniest part was the end of the night, though. I had him half dressed in his jammies and he was shirtless. Baby man-gut hanging over his pants, drool pooling all over his chin and chest...he was a hoot. Next thing we know is showing off his "up/down" skills throwing his arms up and saying "UUUUHHHH" then throwing them down and saying "DOOWWWW" and making sure we all applauded and did just what he did. Then he would go to his jungle toy, make the music and dance for us. And finally, he had to show off his cleaning skills by using a baby wipe to clean the coffee table. He tried to show of "OOOHHHH, KLOOOOO" (open/close) but that caused slamming of the TV stand door so we had to put a stop to that one.

Sweet little ham-bone.

17 Again

WOW. Weekend recap = wow. We had such a blast at Di and Keegan's wedding. She was stunning and totally herself. I love that. It was SO great seeing so many old pals. The after party was reminiscent of being 17 again. I think it's amazing how you can get a group of people together and it's as if no time has passed at all, even if has been forever. You know who I am talking about! We will never let it go that long again! I have to give Ted major props b/c he was such a good hubs and fit right in. Seriously, SO.MUCH.FUN.

Tru was also a trooper with his mommy and pops gone for a night. He played his little heart out with BB and Pappy. I had planned for a vacation day for Monday and boy did I need it. I got in some much needed quality time with my 'lil guy. The highlight of the day was him "cleaning" with me. He is such a copy cat right now I give him a rag and his own spray bottle and he helps me wipe down his high chair. Another funny...we went to his sitter's to drop off a few thing and his buddy Cole started "blow drying" Truett's hair by pulling it straight up and holding his play blow dryer against his head. Tru just sat there. These kids, they are so hilarious!

Happy New Year!

The holidays have come and gone...*sigh*

SO much fun with a baby in the house! What a difference a year makes. This Christmas was the polar opposite of last year. Xmas 2008 was amazing and incredible because we had our healthy baby boy in arms (although I was a mess of post partum hormones and Ted was sick as a dog)...Christmas 2009 was amazing and incredible because we got to SHARE the holiday with our son. You know for being 1 yr and 2 days old on 12/25/2009 he sure got it. His eyes lit up when he saw his gifts under the tree, he was excited to unwrap things from his extended family, and he was just cheery and playful (with the occasional mini toddler tantrum from the overstimulation of the holiday craziness - can't really blame the little guy).

Truett is walking everywhere! If anyone wants a nonstop workout just spend the day in our house chasing Truett around, he'll make you burn some calories. He is also obsessed with telling anyone he see (and any animal for that matter), "Iiii!" aka hi. He also will tell you bye when you're leaving or walking out of a room, etc. Such a friendly little man. We took him to the park yesterday and he was sure to tell every man, woman, child and dog, "Hi!" As in, he will continute to say it until you say it back, even if this means chasing you down...LOL. He has also learned a few new tricks...up/down (with arm signals included, lol), and he says what I believe is "all done" at he end of his meals. He's also sort of saying something like "Ready, set, GO!" It's really more like baby jibber jabber and then a loud "O!"

The photo above is from Christmas morning. Can you tell he played till he was exhausted?
