Bloggie Neglect

Poor blog has been neglected! I blame the 1st tri exhaustion. Speaking of which, I'm finally over the hump. I'm approaching 14.5 weeks and I am having some better days - woohoo! I had an appointment on Friday and all is well with the little lemon.

Our Weekend "Away"

This past weekend we stayed in Pearland at Ted's parent's house (BB & Pappy). We had a wedding to go to on Saturday night and wanted to make sure True would sleep okay in there house (his BB just bought a crib and is setting up a room for the grandkids, can you say spoiled? ;) So, Friday we decided we'd all stay over, this way True could get use to his little room. Momo even came along for the trip.

Friday was fun. Ted went to the rehearsal dinner while Pappy and I met BB at Gringo's Mexican Restaurant. Truett absolutely LOVED the place. He has been there before but this he devoured an entire bowl of green dip all by himself. He would use the same chip over and over to eat the sauce and then when it got soggy he'd move on to the next spoon, I mean chip. It was too cute. He was such a good little man.te his entire quesadilla for us. He really entertained Pappy and I while we waited for BB to show up. We were second fiddler when she did.

Luckily he slept pretty well that night - do I smell a little freedom for mommy and daddy now? Woohoo!

Saturday True had a blast at Bass Pro Shop with BB& Pappy while Ted and I headed off to Brett's wedding. We then endured a 2 hour wedding ceremony (Love you, Brett!), and then went to the beautiful reception. Being the preggo that I am I knew I wouldn't be able to last the whole time so I headed home early, (11:30 pm though, eek, late for me!), to BBs while Ted did videography for his bud.

The next morning I was worried Tru would be sad when we left but he must have been exhausted from his fun weekend "away" because he gave all his goodbye kisses and hugs and got in the car without any problems.

After we headed home and had some awesome visitors stop by. (Love you Hinson family!) Later that day Tru and I headed to the new resort style pool right down the street. It was crowded, but that did not stop us from having a blast. T LOVED it! It looks like the swimming lesson (all 2 of them) really paid off because he was letting me dunk him and he would blow bubbles when I asked him. He was also attempting some kicks while I held him on his belly. My big boy. He looks so cute in his swimming gear and jumping off the side of the pool. The only reason e left (we both could have stayed all day!) was because someone took a poopy in his swim diaper and mommy did not bring an extra. Let me tell ya….that was the grossest thing I have ever changed. Ever.

Now if my sweet hubby could upload some pics for me I would gladly share them!

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! I decided I love this day more than my own birthday and it's officially going on my "top 3 holidays" list. I just love being a mommy to our sweet little man….there is nothing better in the world…and how wonderful there is a whole day dedicated to that! Being a mom is tough work! We all know it isn't roses and peaches every day and there is so little *you* time, but life is a heck of lot richer now. If it means not running marathons until the kids are (both) toddlers or whatever, that's okay, sign me up for the mom gig. That can wait, little man and bean - they're my world.

Anyway, so to celebrate T & T got me an adorable digital frame fully loaded with the best memories of the past 1.5 years. I love it. We also went out to breakfast (my FAVORITE meal of the day), and then Ted grilled for me and both of our moms who came over in the afternoon with more family. Tru put on a show for all of us, as usual. He was just in heaven with both his grandmas at his home and was showing off in his Cozy Coupe, playing T-ball (which by the way the kid is getting pretty good!), getting in his clubhouse (and asking various family members to join him), and of course giving us all a dr.'s checkup with his doctor gear!

Week 12

Here I am, 12 weeks along. The second tri cannot come fast enough. It just hit me today we are going to have another baby in our house very soon! Eeeeeeeeeee! It's hard for me to accept pregnancy as "real" until after the first tri because it's so darn nerve racking. Even then, for the next 30something weeks I won't relax until our baby is safe in my arms. It's time I found "our" song. When I was pregnant with Truett him & I had a belly song - it was just our special little song for his time in the belly. I listened to it every single morning on my way to work. I'm sure you are just dying to know what song it was. Well, it was Kid Rock's Summertime. Ha! I know, so sweet, heh? Anyway, it just got us going for the day and Truett would dance in my stomach every time it played. So ya, I need to find one for this little bean, too.

This pregnancy is also making me a huge sap. With T I was very irritable. Everything and everyone irritated me. This time around it's the opposite. Everyone and everything makes me "ohhh" and "ahhhh" - I think it's just my heart making room for this next baby.
