The Stats
True's 6 month appt was yesterday. He still has a little fluid in his ear, but the antibiotics should clear that up. So we'll keep an eye on that, but otherwise he is a healthy, thriving little bundle. He is eating a little less so we need to keep an eye on that as well.
Here's the low down:
Weight: 18 pounds 3 ounces (50th percentile)
Length: 27 3/8 inches (he grew 3 inches in 1.5 months!!!) (75th percentile)
Head: 25th percentile
As far as I am concerned...he is darn close to perfect. His length is really amazing -- he has grown almost 10 inches since birth! He'll probably be like his Clancy uncles and be taller than me and his daddy by the time he is 16, LOL.

Six Sweet Months
Little Boy True is 6 months old today. It's it's half birthday :) I have a feeling when he gets older we'll be having "half birthday parties" seeing as his birthday will fall 2 days before Christmas. I imagine it will be hard to have a birthday party around that time. In honor of Truett turning 6 months old, here are 6 new things about him...
1. He LOVES watching Mocha. He randomly smiles at her, and his eyes follow her around like a hawk. He has recently begun grabbing her ears and tail. She doesn't seem to mind.
2. Loves grabbing your face. Especially his daddy's goatie. He also gives kisses in his own baby way, aka with an open mouth.
3. He is making his first attempts at crawling! He will get on his elbows and move one knee up as if he is trying to get on it, then he usually ends up rolling onto his side. But he is working hard.
4. He loves the pool. OK, so maybe that isn't anything new...but he loves swimming and he loves swinging. Such an outdoorsman already.
5. He is fascinated with measuring cups and blocks. The simplest toys can also be the most entertaining.
6. He loves to laugh at peek-a-boo and any other weird noises you make at him. He really likes being scared - it makes him jump and then he cracks up. Silly boy.
I should also document on the blog that Truett came down with a mild case of croup and a double ear infection last week. So he had his first round of antibiotics (actually he is still on them). It was really pitful for a few days, but he has bounced back nicely.
He also had his first out of state experience. We headed down to Lafayette, LA this weekend for the Dore Family Reunion (Ted's mom's side). Truett was awesome! It was blistering hot outside so for the most part he was in his diaper, kicking and dancing to the live music and being the life of the party (you would have never known he was sick).
Ted also had his First Father's Day! Truett made him a few things. He made him a baseball cap with his foot prints and his birthdate embroidered on the back. He also got his daddy a T-shirt that says "My Boy True" and his his footprints stamped all over. Last but not least he got his dad a cool "skull" frame.

High Chair Photo Shoot
So now that Truett is starting solids I figured it was time to take the high chair out of the box. I still remember being preggo and buying it for "when the time was right" - and I can't believe the time is now. I think I almost popped him I was squeezing him so hard tonight. I was over flowing with mommy love and couldn't stop lovin' on my boy. Anyways, we had some fun while we hung out in the kitchen tonight:
