Ah, the cuteness!!!


Truett is 4 months old tomorrow! He has changed sooooo much since December 23, 2008. His personality is bubbling over. He does not look like an itty bitty newborn anymore *tear* It got my thinking, I have changed SO much since that day too. Made me think of all the ways I have changed...

1. I don't have a large belly any more. Back in my real clothes and that feels good!
2. I don't run as much as I use to.
3. But, I run faster than before.
4. I eat SO much more than I ever have. I had no idea the energy/calories it took to make milk.
5. I get very little sleep. If I want to run before work I have to get up at 4:30 am. Crazy. Insane.
6. I am much more active after work now. I've got a new buddy to spend time with - no more lazy afternoons on the couch. We're all about playtime, walks, rocking, eating...
7. I am much more productive at work. There is no working late and no bringing work home - I won't sacrifice that time - so it's all business when I am at work. OK, so maybe I still online shop and check a few sites here and there...
8. I drink more coffee.
9. I love my husband even more. It so fun watching him as a Dad.
10. I neglect Mocha. So sad, but true. I love her just the same, but I know she isn't getting the attention she use to. She is still babied like no other though and we do cuddle and still sleep together everynight...I guess it's not that bad.
11. I have moved out of my room. Not permanently, but I have relocated to the guest room so I am only steps away from True's room, instead of on a completely different floor.
12. I know what it feels like to be sleep deprived, truly sleep deprived, and I am so glad to be over that stage.
13. I am a mom but I still feel like me (getting back to feeling like that at least). You can really loose yourself in the beginning, but it's like figuring out a new you and finding the old you = you...err, me.
14. I really appreciate wine.
15. No late nights, at least for now.
16. The only books I have time to read right now are books on babies, I can't wait to read a real book, for pleasure, sometime in the near future!
17. My heart is bigger, much, much bigger.
18. I laugh and smile even more than before.
19. We have a cleaning company. Never thought I would get one but working + baby = no time for dusting fans, blinds, basebaords, oh my!
20. I will stop here because really the list is endless...

Happy Easter

I am a little late in wishing everyone a Happy Easter, but I hope everyone had a great day. I was hoping we would make it to church on the hill (our community has an outside Easter service ot the ampitheater every Easter Sunday), but because of the weather we did not make it out. There is always next year when T will actually be old enough to egg hunt with the kiddos anyways.

So, Truett got his first taste of an Easter basket - literally. We took some sweet pics of him sitting in and beside his basket, and sure enough he went straight for the handle in the mouth. LOL! He loves his hands...loves shoving them in this mouth, drool is everywhere these days...but he doesn't seem to mind. We are finally getting some use out of a few rattles/toys that are light enough and small enough for his tiny hands to hold. It's so fun watching him discover how to grab things. Then once he grabs he will promptly see if it fits in his mouth. He also loves to move, shake, kick his legs, and "stand" on people. He is getting really strong on his tummy as well and cranes his neck up to look around. He gets tuckered out pretty fast though cause it's gotta be exhausting trying to lift your chubby babby body on just your arms!
